No the mystery is not the bird, this Cuckoo was photographed in the mist at Slieveanorra by Dick Glasgow this afternoon and he was wondering what the caterpillar was. The bird was catching a large number of them in the long heather. Dick has already had two suggestions, Drinker Moth and Oak Egger, have you any suggestions to make?
